Definition:

Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) in Java is a methodology that allows you to structure your software around real-world objects, incorporating their properties (attributes) and behaviors (methods). Comparison to Structured Programming:

Contrary to structured programming that focuses on a top-down approach of breaking the program into procedures or functions, OOP structures code around real-world objects. The fundamental concepts of OOP such as inheritance (sharing common properties among objects), polymorphism (using a single entity in multiple forms), and encapsulation (bundling and hiding the data and methods within an object) make programs more intuitive, reusable, and easier to maintain.


Advantages of OOP:

1. Modularity and code reusability: Objects and classes in Java can be reused across different parts of the application, promoting code reuse.
2. Encapsulation: By binding data and methods together and keeping them safe from outside interference and misuse, the integrity of the data is ensured.
